ABOUT

HAM GORDON

Lindsay Hamilton Gordon Jr., better known as Ham, grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area and now calls Denver home. He is a creator, entrepreneur, technologist, and musician whose work has consistently focused on one idea: helping people turn ideas into reality. Whether through music, media, business, collaboration technology, or education, he is fascinated by the tools and experiences that bring people together and help them share what they know, create what they imagine, and build what comes next.

Ham’s journey began with music. As a producer, artist, and published musician performing under the name Ham I Am, he developed an early fascination with the creative process and the tools that make it possible. That passion eventually expanded into motion graphics, digital media, animation, visual effects, and interactive design, leading him to study Applied Computer Science with a focus on Motion Graphics.

Through work spanning music production, motion design, projection mapping, experiential installations, and digital storytelling, Ham developed an appreciation for both the artistic and technical sides of building experiences. What started as a fascination with sound, visuals, and storytelling gradually expanded into a broader interest in how people interact with technology, spaces, and one another.

That perspective continues to shape his work today. Whether helping organizations design better workplace experiences, building new ventures, creating music, or teaching others, Ham believes the most meaningful technology brings people together and helps turn ideas into reality.

Professionally, Ham has spent more than a decade working in collaboration technology, workplace systems, audiovisual design, and unified communications. He has held leadership and specialist roles with organizations including Medallia, WeWork, Mersive Technologies, and Zoom, helping organizations rethink how people connect, communicate, and collaborate.

Today, Ham serves as a Zoom Spaces Specialist, a technology evangelist role focused on helping customers understand what is possible when people, physical spaces, and technology are thoughtfully brought together. Working across industries and customer segments, he helps organizations envision new ways of working, collaborates with teams on complex workplace and collaboration initiatives, and shares best practices through customer engagement, education, and industry advocacy. His role sits at the intersection of product expertise, solution design, storytelling, and teaching, helping organizations transform technology from a collection of tools into experiences that enable better communication, collaboration, and human connection.

Alongside his corporate career, Ham has founded and advised multiple ventures across technology, media, and creative industries. He founded LaunchFront as a technology consulting practice and later established Aphelion Capital Ventures, a venture studio, consultative incubator, and investment vehicle focused on building and supporting emerging businesses. Through Aphelion, he works with founders and early-stage companies on strategy, operations, technology, and growth while developing a portfolio of incubated ventures, strategic investments, and advisory relationships.

Among those ventures is Playwave, Ham’s most recent startup and a return to his roots in music and creative technology. Designed as a commercial music engine and content platform, Playwave explores new ways for creators to produce, distribute, and monetize their work. The project reflects Ham’s long-standing belief that technology should expand opportunity, lower barriers to entry, and empower more people to participate in the creative economy.

Across these ventures, the connecting philosophy is consistent: help people build meaningful businesses, pursue new opportunities, and bring ambitious ideas to life.

Outside of his professional work, Ham continues to produce music, develop educational content, mentor founders, and pursue new creative and entrepreneurial projects. Many begin as simple curiosities and evolve into businesses, communities, artistic works, or resources that help others learn and grow.

Away from work, Ham shares his life with his fiancée, Halley, and their two dogs, Berkeley, a Golden Retriever, and Ada, a German Shepherd. While much of his professional life revolves around building, teaching, and creating, some of his favorite moments are the simplest ones - spending time with family, exploring new places, and enjoying long walks through the parks, trails, and open spaces that make Denver such a special place to call home. More often than not, Berkeley and Ada are along for the adventure.

This site collects those projects, ideas, and interests as an ongoing record of what Ham is learning, building, teaching, and creating. Some projects are complete, many are still evolving, and a few may never leave the experimental stage.

Together, they tell the story of a lifelong learner, builder, and creator who remains endlessly curious about people, technology, and the ideas that bring them together.
